Although I’ve been a book coach for many years, I always want to improve my skills, so I recently enrolled in Author Accelerator’s Book Coach Certification program for memoir. I am developing my skills on how to work with memoir writers to help them write their books. So roll up, roll up, because I am seeking three first-time writers who are willing to let me practice on their project, and on them. Here's what you need
To be a good fit for this free-of-charge opportunity, you must fit into one of these three categories.
You have an idea for a memoir (a story about your own life) that you are dying to write, but you haven't started working on it yet in any significant way. You're willing to work through a series of exercises to lay the foundation for your book, and allow me to provide feedback on them and coach you on a video call. OR
You have written a complete draft of your memoir (a story about your own life) and would like an evaluation of what's working and what can be improved, as well as more detailed edits on your first two chapters. OR
You have a complete and polished draft of your memoir (a story about your own life) that you'd like to get traditionally published, and you want help understanding if your manuscript is ready to pitch to agents, and getting ready to do the actual pitching.

Here’s what you'll get
You'll complete a Jumpstart Questionnaire which would make sure we’re a good fit for this work, and kick-start moving you forward.
I’ll provide a series of exercises crafted for your specific stage in the writing and querying journey. You’ll work through them, and allow me to provide feedback on your written responses.
After you’ve received my feedback, we’ll have one coaching call via video so we can talk it through, you can ask any questions, and you can get clear next steps for how to keep moving forward with your book.
As this is part of my certification requirements, I will need your permission to allow Author Accelerator’s editorial team to review my work (and therefore your work). This is the primary reason I’m offering this service free of charge. They are very good at being respectful of the work and its sensitivity. You can see more about them here.
