What if you secretly want to write a book? I hear this shy talk about maybe-perhaps-sort-of wanting to write a book from folks who have been carrying a secret: that this would be the honor of their lives. It's on their bucket list. It's their dream.

They desperately want it.

But they haven't told many—or anyone.

They keep this dream secret.

For many possible reasons.

Maybe they think it's dumb. Or they're not really capable. Or there are other things they should be spending their time on. Or no one will like it. Or whatever.

One of the great privileges of my work as a book coach is in talking to people about their book ideas. Often, these people haven't shared these ideas with anyone else, or have only done so in brief, surface-level ways.

I get to talk to them deeply about their ideas.

We get to totally geek out about the idea and story and events and message, about the joys and struggles of writing, about what it's like to have an idea and not know how to make it real—and how to actually make it real.

It's a joy.

An invitation to share your secret... and geek out with me

I currently have three slots available for The Idea Investigation in July, where I work with you for two weeks, giving you fast feedback so you can get confident and clear on your book idea—with a proven plan to make it happen.

As I ramp up for these slots, I'm offering a free Ask Me Anything one-on-one call.

Join me on Zoom for a casual chit-chat about books.

Tell me about your secret dream of writing a book. Geek out with me about writing. Share where you're at with your book—or don't.

No pressure. No recordings. No sales push. Just a chance to talk books and ask me anything.

Because it's a joy to be able to talk books and book ideas with people who get it. And I would love to be that person for you.

What, when, and where?

  • What: Ask Me Anything casual Zoom call with me, Liz Green, your editor and book coach.

  • When: At a time that suits you.

  • Where: Schedule a call with me here.

And I promise, I'll share my secret writing dreams with you, too!

Thanks,

Write a memoir for the writer AND the reader

I used to think writing was all about the impact your words would have on the reader. I was wrong. Now, I believe you write a memoir for the writer AND the reader. The act of writing serves the writer in the most beautiful ways. The book is for the reader—again in beautiful ways. That’s the double-whammy of writing your memoir. Read more…
