For first-time writers who aren’t sure if their book idea is even any good.

You have a book idea, but is it even any good?

You just don’t know. You can’t help wondering, Will it work? Will anyone care? Is it worth spending all the time it’ll need to write it?

You can’t forget about it—the idea won’t leave you alone. But you also haven’t really taken the plunge yet, because… what if it’s not good enough?

Maybe you’ve dabbled with writing, but it’s just… meh. It’s not coming together. It’s all over the place.

And google doesn’t help. You need actual, specific answers for you and your unique experience.

You don’t know where to start or how to get unstuck—or if it’s even worth trying. And it’s bumming you out.

What if you could feel confident?

No one can guarantee a book idea will be successful, but you’re realistic, and you don’t need that. You just want to know if it could be what you envision—and how to get there.

Imagine workshopping this idea with a professional who knows the industry, understands which book ideas work, and can tell you exactly what will—and will not (yet)—work about yours.

You come to understand your book idea intimately, like a pro. You know exactly what to do to make it work. You’re actually excited about your book again.

You get those butterflies in your tummy when you think about it, because you can finally picture it on the bookshelfand imagine what it’ll be like to hold your book in your hands.

Plus, you have a real plan to get there. You know exactly what to do next. And you can’t wait.

I can help you figure it out

I’m Liz Green, the book coach and ghostwriter behind Green Goose Writing.

I work with first-time writers who have been through something, and want to write a book about it to help others. But they don’t know where to start or get stuck trying to put the words on the page.

I help them finally write their memoir, so they can share their experience and pay it forward.

I’ve written twenty books, taught college writing classes, and am an Author Accelerator certified book coach specializing in memoir. And here's what I've learned:

You CAN do this.

You can figure out what this idea is (even if you're worried it might be nothing). You can write your book and feel proud of sharing your words with the world. I will show you how.

Every day I think what a great decision it was to ask for Liz’s help.

The Idea Investigation: What’s Included

We’ll work together for two fast and furious weeks! By the end of the two weeks, you’ll have expert feedback, and feel confident and clear on your book idea—with a proven plan to make it happen.

Here’s what’s included in The Idea Investigation:

You and me, baby

When we work together, you’ll partner directly with me. It’s just us, working one-on-one so you can create the book you envision. There will be no AI. I’m human; so are you. This is a process filled with humanity.

A non-disclosure agreement with a ghostwriter for confidentiality.

Private and confidential

All our work is confidential. You can share your idea—and all its ugly edges—confident it will stay private as we investigate if and how you want to share it.

Details of what ghostwriting includes.

Jumpstart questionnaire

We'll jumpstart our work together with the Get Clear Jumpstart questionnaire, so we understand your experience with this idea so far, and your goals for the book.

This will set us up to make fast progress as we move through the rest of The Idea Investigation, so we can get you the best results.

Your ghostwritten manuscript will be delivered as a MS Word file.

The Mini Blueprint

Next, you'll complete The Mini Blueprint. This worksheet, specifically designed to map what's there—or not, will guide you through thinking about your book from a high-level, holistic viewpoint.

When you've done this work, The Mini Blueprint will show us what's really there. We'll know if this is something you're capable of doing, if your book has a shot at getting published, and if it will help with what you really want to achieve.

Taking this time to consider the big picture means when you do return to the writing, it will be easier. It will make more sense. You'll know what to do.

The Mini Blueprint is a tool developed by Author Accelerator and relied on by authors around the world to guide them through planning stories that work. As a memoir book coach certified by Author Accelerator, I'm granted permission to use this tool with my clients for their success.

You own all copywriter for your ghostwritten book.

Professional Writing Feedback

While you complete The Mini Blueprint, I will personally read-through of up to five pages of your work so far. You can submit bullet-point ideas, a rough outline, your synopsis, chapter drafts, or anything else you like.

I won't make edits with a red pen, because I know what you have is in its early stages and it's not ready for that. Instead, I'll read it and provide thoughtful feedback on our one-on-one coaching session, so you know what works and what doesn’t, and if your writing is any good.

I promise to be honest—I won’t blow smoke up your ass. I also promise to be kind. I know showing your work to someone else can feel vulnerable, but I am on your side. You’re not alone anymore.

Personal writing feedback is optional, so no worries if you haven't started writing yet or if it feels too vulnerable to share at this stage.

Accountability for book coaching

A One-on-One Coaching Session

Next, we’ll meet for a private, one-hour video call to go through your Mini Blueprint and Personal Writing Feedback. We’ll look at what you’ve got so far, talk through the hard stuff, and figure out where to go next.

You’ll have a safe space to talk through your thoughts, and together we’ll figure out if this book idea will work, what it could look like, and how to get it there.

By the end of our session, you’ll be able to confidently decide if your idea is worth pursuing—or not. Whatever you decide, you'll feel excited for the future.

Your Personalized Action Plan and Support Check-In

After our coaching session, you'll receive your personalized action plan, so you know exactly what to do next. You'll have a clear path to finally achieve what you've been dreaming of.

One month after our one-on-one coaching session, I'll reach out over email to check-in, support you, and hold you accountable to the action plan we created together.

We all benefit from a little friendly outside pressure. This is key to making the progress you really want, even amidst a busy life.

We're not just here for a nice time; we're here to get you actual, real progress.

I am no longer in fight or flight when I look at my writing. I feel like I now have a direction. Thank you so much for your support.

In case we haven’t met yet…

Liz Green, memoir book coach.

I have a post-graduate degree in journalism, and am known for being absolutely honest (yet still kind) with my feedback. And here’s what I’ve learned:

There are a million reasons not to do this now.

Family... work... the timing is never right.

But the urge doesn't care.

That feeling of being drawn to the page doesn't go away. It doesn't give a damn about all the "logical" reasons you should wait.

Because it knows this is something you care about. It's what sits deep in your soul. You can't explain it, and you can't make it go away.

I mean, there's a reason you're reading this page right now. Isn't there?

Take a moment to listen to that whispering voice.

Perhaps you can't explain why you're called to write, to share your message, to leave a part of you in this world... but you are.

Listen to that. Honor that.

Now is your time.
