Do you listen to any podcasts? I’ve been thinking about them a lot lately. With my new Write Your Memoir course launching soon, I want to guest speak on a few shows to spread the word that you CAN write the book you feel called to, and, naturally, to talk about the course.

So, I’m wondering what podcasts you listen to. What do you love for entertaining, inspirational, and educational listens? I’d be so grateful if you could share and give me some ideas of great podcasts to pitch myself to as a guest speaker. Click here to shoot me an email and tell me! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And because I want to give more than I ask for… today I’m giving you the lowdown on my favorite podcasts! They run the gamut across business, writing, cooking, Harry Potter, The Office, DIY, and feminism. I hope you’ll find something to inspire your writing, reignite your creativity, or whatever else you need during lockdown life and beyond.

What is it? My incredible business coach, Stephanie Hayes, talks to regular people building businesses to get insights about what it’s really like to be an entrepreneur.

Why do I love it? It’s basically a whole show to make you feel normal as a business owner. Stephanie, the host, is down-to-earth, sharp, and encouraging in a realistic, no bullshit way. Plus, I appeared in one episode, which was super fun.

Office Ladies podcast review

Office Ladies

What is it? This is the ultimate The Office rewatch podcast from Jenna Fisher (who played Pam) and Angela Kinsey (who played Angela). Each week, they break down an episode of The Office and give exclusive behind-the-scenes stories that only two people who were there can tell you.

Why do I love it? Jenna and Angela’s best friend-banter is hilarious. They tell juicy stories that any The Office fan will love. And it’s a great excuse to rewatch the show with a fresh appreciation for all the incredible storytelling.

Witch, Please

What is it? Two feminist scholars break down the Harry Potter books and movies with hilarious style and insights. They don’t just recap what happens but actually dive into what it means and why it’s awesome.

Why do I love it? This show is OLD and hasn’t had any new episodes since 2018, but it remains one of the funniest and most heartwarming things I’ve ever heard. There’s a whole whack of episodes, so even though they’re not making more, don’t be afraid to jump in.

The Magic Ingredient podcast review.

The Magic Ingredient

What is it? This is the show from the ladies behind pinchofnom.com, the website where I get most of my healthy recipes. Hosts Kay and Kate invite celebrity guests into their kitchen for a good old chat while they cook up a recipe featuring the celeb’s chosen, magic ingredient.

Why do I love it? I just discovered this magical cooking show, and I’m obsessed. The hosts manage to bring out a really normal, natural side of their celebrity guests. It feels like you’re getting a very honest look at how they approach food, along with inspiration to try new ingredients.
